Not known
5.3 Risks due to the development of dangerous substances
Gas produced by the combustion process may contain substances dangerous both for health and safety such as CO, CO2, hydrochloric acid.

5.4 Protective equipment for fire-fighters
The use of suitable breathing apparatus is compulsory.
Masks type B2 / E2 / P3 according to UNI EN 141, EN 143, EN 148-1

5.5 Procedures to hold fire back
In the event of fire, remove the stored material from the area at risk only in case this procedure can be effected safely.
Avoid inhaling combustion fumes.
Keep windward and avoid to stop in underground areas.

 6. Measures in the event of accidental leaks

Accidental and predictable leaks are:

  • Decomposition fumes if item is subject to high temperatures. Fumes extraction systems and effective ventilation of the premises must be provided for. Avoid breathing fumes, and in case use suitable breathing apparatus.

For further information concerning exposure control and individual protection please see sections 8 and 13.

 7. Handling and Storage

7.1 Handling
In case of heat treatment of the film provide aspiration of the fumes and suitable ventilation.
Do not eat, drink and smoke while handling.

7.2 Storage
Keep in a cool, dry place
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight; keep the item in its original packaging, avoid the presence of open flames.
Adopt normal fire prevention measures.
Material that can be used for storage: carbon boxes, paper, polyethylene HD (PEHD), poly ethylene LD (PELD).

7.3 Use
Before the use, condition the material at a temperature ≥ 20°C for at least 48h.
Prepare points for grounding discharge of static electricity.

 8. Exposure control and individual protection

8.1 Individual protective equipments

During working of material:
In case of contact with material during working stages at high temperature wear gloves suitable against thermic risks.
Respiratory tract protection: use mask with filter in case of fumes and dust.
Wear protective clothing, safety shoes, gloves, safety eye-glasses. Follow safety rules.
